Customers Quick Guide

This help-section covers most of the functions available at www.chemotechnique.se.

We use server-based session-cookies, small data-files which is stored on the server to keep track of individual surfers. We use them to handle the login, and to store temporary data while you are using our database. These records are deleted when you log out or time out from a session.

If your browser-settings doesn't allow session-cookies you cannot access the "Login Required"-pages.

    Signing on 

    You can sign up for a customer-account at www.chemotechnique.se. This will give you access to Patient Information Letter, Order-form, Patch Test Record forms and direct News for your country. When you have been activated in our database you will be able to update your user-profile yourself, if needed. You will also be able to get your user-profile sent to you if you forget it, it will be sent to the email-address you used when signing up.

    Membership is free of charge, and is only granted to personnel at hospitals, current customers or potential customers. We preserve the right of denying access to whom we choose. If you feel that you have been mistreated please don´t hesitate to contact us at:

    How to Sign on

    1. Fill out the form found by clicking on the button "First time users" found under the menu to the left. All user-data must be valid, if some aren´t, we will not process your application. The only exclusion from this rule is when State and Fax not are applicable, they may be filled out using "x".

    2. Submitting the form will take you to a page where you can preview your user-profile, please take the time to check that you have given correct data, your email-address is crucial, if it is invalid we will not process your application.

    3. If you need to change something, click "Change profile" to get to the previous page, otherwise click "OK, sign me up!" to submit your application.

    4. Until we have processed your application you will not be able to login at our website. As soon as we have processed your application we will send a notification to the email-address you used when you signed up.

    5. By submitting this form you permit us to save and use your user-data in our database.

    Patient Information Letter

    This Letter gives your patients a brief description of the substance they are allergic to. Below you will find more information regarding the different types of letters we provide.

     

     

    How to obtain a patient information letter

    1. Find the hapten you want by choosing from the series listing or by typing name or Art. No in the search frame.

    2. Click on the hapten name.

    3. Choose language by clicking on the various choices and thereafter on the type of information letter you want as stated below.

    4. To add your name & address to the information letters header, check the show address-checkbox (you need to log-in to perform this operation).

     

     

    Normal, Advanced, Notes

    The Patient Information Letter has been designed in three different shapes.

    1. Normal
      An informative text regarding Allergens in general along with a description of the allergen and synonyms.

    2. Advanced
      Has the same information as the normal letter and has special information added, such as synonyms, CAS, MI, Cross and web-addresses when they occur.

    3. Notes
      Are also almost the same as the Normal Letter, but has a shorter informative text. This type is printed 2 - 6 times on each paper depending on how large the individual information of each Hapten is.

     

    Print individual Allergens

    Go to the detailed page of the Hapten you want to use. Click on the link that corresponds to the type of letter you want.

    Click on the Printer-symbol to start printing.

     

     

    Print Series

    Go to the Hapten series you want to use. Click on the link that corresponds to the type of letter you want.

    The Patient Information Letters for each individual Hapten is included in the output and a page-break is included. Click on the Printer-symbol to start printing.

    Customize

    This option makes it possible for you to customize the Patient Information Letters.

    By filling in the Patients name you alter the text on the Information Letter to "Dear Patients Name" instead of "Dear Patient". By checking the Show address checkbox your address is inserted under the "Chemotechnique"-header.

    Your settings will be saved as long as your session is active, which means as long as you don´t open a new window or time-out (20 min).

    NB The feature of inserting your patients name is only applicable to the Normal and Advanced Letters.

     

    Language Settings

    For the moment we are supporting the languages listed below the search-fields in the Hapten-pages. They are in English, French, Spanish, Swedish and German. Your language-setting is only affecting the detailed page and the Patient Information Letters. For those Haptens we still haven't translated the English phrase will appear.

     

     

    To activate a different language you click on that language at the top of the Series or Detailed page.

     

    Your settings will be saved as long as your session is active, which means as long as you don´t close your present session and open a new window or get a time-out (after 20 min of inactivity).

    Patch Test Record Form

     

    The Patch Test Record Form is intended for logging the patients test records. The form is customizable as described below.

     

    Customize

    By clicking on "Customize your own form!" on the first page you can customize your Patch Test Record Forms. Fill out the fields you want to use and press "Save Settings" and then open your requested form.

    You can change date-format to any format in the list, press "Set date-format" and then "Save Settings" and you're done.

     

    By checking Show Address, your address from the database will be inserted into the Patch Test-record form. Note that you need to be logged on to the Chemotechnique website to obtain your address automatically.

     

    Choose the preferred language to be used on the Patch test record-form in the list.

     

    As default the current date is inserted, Reading 1 is current date + 3 days, Reading 2 is current date + 7 days.

    Your settings will be saved as long as your session is active, which means as long you don´t open a new window or time-out (20 min).

    Printer Settings

    Page setup differs some between Netscape and Internet Explorer. The most important settings is to set Page orientation to Portrait, allow Backgrounds and Images for printing and to clear content from Header and Footer. You can find browser-specific info below.

     

    If you experience that the content flows over to the following page you can try to adjust the Top- and Bottom-margins to lower values.

    For best result you should also allow backgrounds and images to be printed, this setting is found under Tools / Internet Options / Advanced.

    Search

    There are two different search-functions, one where you search Haptens and one where you search the rest of the site. They are described below.

     

    Search Allergen

    You can search information for individual Haptens by selecting Substance or series by selecting Series in the Select-box beside the search-field. The search-function find occurrences of your search-criteria in Code, Name, CAS, Cross, Text for substances and synonyms. It will find occurrences in Code and Name for series.

     

    Site-search

    This search-function searches among the rest of the site for occurrences of your search-criteria. Click on the link to go the page.
